Victims' Rights Run and Walk 5K April 27 at George Mason University
The annual Victims' Rights Run and Walk 5K is April 27 at George Mason University. Proceeds benefit the Rape Aggression Defense program.

FAIRFAX, VA — Folks who dig 5K runs should take note of this one. It's the 21st Annual Victims' Rights Run and Walk at George Mason University.
The race begins at noon April 27 on the Merten Hall Lawn, with the walk shortly afterward.
It's sponsored by GMU's Department of Police and Public Safety, along with several other Mason departments, as well as collaboration with the Aimee Willard Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Proceeds from the event support the Rape Aggression Defense program, which teaches women basic self-defense, and the Victims of Violence Fund from the Student Support and Advocacy Center.
Registration fees: $25 for the public, $20 for GMU faculty and staff and free for students.
