Wallet Stolen During Movie In Fairfax
A woman had a wallet stolen from her purse during a movie at Cinema Arts Theaters, say Fairfax Police. It's a relatively common crime.

FAIRFAX, VA — This happens more often than you might think: Thieves targeting movie theaters as a way to plunder purses of unsuspecting patrons otherwise occupied by the cinematic screening. That's what happened Thursday night at Cinema Arts Theatres, 9650 Main Street, according to Fairfax Police.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the victim told police that while she was watching the movie, someone stole her wallet from her purse, which was on the floor beside her seat. The wallet contained cash, ID and credit cards. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts. "Anyone carrying a bag into the movies knows there’s basically only one thing you can do with it: you place that purse. . .on the ground and (hope) no one drops their soda on the ground nearby. A Connecticut man saw all those bags as a way to make some easy money, crawling around on movie theater floors to steal up to $70,000 a week."
