FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Winter storms can be dangerous and make things difficult for people who aren't used to dealing with so much snow. You can cause seriously harm to yourself by shoveling too strenuously and be a danger to others if you try to drive on icy roads.

Usually, the best thing to do during a winter storm is to stay put, wrap yourself in a blanket and sip your favorite hot beverage, while waiting for the weather to pass.

But, if you decide to tempt fate and go outside, be careful. Also, bring your cellphone or a camera so you can share photos. That's the other thing about winter storms. They make everything look so beautiful.
