Woman Strangled by Acquaintance in Fairfax: Police

FAIRFAX, VA — A woman was assaulted and strangled by an acquaintance Sunday night in the 9400 block of Fairfax Boulevard at Foxcroft Colony Condominiums, according to Fairfax Police.

Noel Andres Portillo, 26, of the 9400 block of Fairfax Boulevard, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault.

He's being held without bond.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the victim told police of the assault and Portillo was arrested at the scene.

4000 Block of Roberts Road – On February 21 at 1:34 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 8:30 PM on February 20 unknown person(s) had damaged the front windshield, shattered the tail lights and scratched the paint on his parked vehicle. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
