Women Swipe 7-Eleven Donation Box In Fairfax: Police

Authorities are seeking two women who brazenly stole a donation box containing cash early Friday. See the full Fairfax Police crime report.

FAIRFAX, VA—Authorities are seeking two women who brazenly stole a donation box containing an undisclosed amount of cash early Friday from the 7-Eleven at 10911 Main Street, according to Fairfax Police.

Around 2:45 a.m., an employee said two women entered the store, whereupon one of them grabbed a donation box from the counter. They immediately fled. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-385-7924. Also in Monday's Fairfax Police crime report:

Counterfeiting

10320 Main Street / Walgreen’s – On September 19, 2018, at approximately 1:54 PM, the complainant reported that an unknown subject had attempted to purchase medication with counterfeit currency. When asked for a smaller denomination of currency the subject left the store and the currency behind. He left in the company of a small child in a green or gray Honda CRV, unknown registration. The Secret Service was notified.

Concealing Merchandise Arrest

9652 Main Street / Best Buy – On September 20, 2018, at approximately 6:38 PM, officers responded to Best Buy for a shoplifter in custody. Leah Madeline Miessler, 23, of 4610 Pickett Road, Fairfax VA had been observed opening boxes in the store and concealing merchandise on her person She was charged with concealing merchandise and released on a summons to appear in court.


Suspicious Event

3910 University Drive / 7-Eleven – on September 20, 2018 at approximately 6:30 PM, officers were dispatched to 3910 University Drive for suspicious person. The complainant reported that a subject had been attempting to enter occupied vehicles in the parking lot earlier, but had since left the area. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.


DUI Arrest

10784 Fairfax Boulevard - On September 21, 2018 at approximately 12:52 AM, officers observed a grey Dodge Charger driving erratically in the vicinity of 10784 Fairfax Boulevard. The vehicle was stopped and the driver failed a series of field sobriety tests. As a result, Moises Adonay Garcia Cabrera, 22, of 7887 Scully Court, Manassas VA was arrested for DUI and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

3801 Jermantown Road - On September 21, 2018 at approximately 2:12 AM, officers observed the operator of a black Honda Civic consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving and driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped and the driver failed a series of field sobriety tests. As a result, Jonathan Izal Diaz, 20, of 11151 Littlebrook Lane, Fairfax, VA was arrested for DUI and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and was held on a secure $1,000 bond.

9900 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On September 23 at 1:05 PM an officer who had initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated erratically determined that the driver was intoxicated. Heather Kathleen Bardot, 49, of 7529 Evans Ford Drive, Clifton, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bond was set at $1000.
