Woodbridge Woman Accused of Assaulting Fairfax City Resident: Police
Police say woman was scratching and pushing another woman Sunday night in the City.

Here’s a look at the most recent incidents from the Fairfax City Police crime report:
- Assault Arrest: 9883 Fairfax Boulevard / Valvoline Instant Oil Change – On September 10 at 12:14 PM police were called to investigate a physical altercation during which two male subjects received non-life-threatening injuries requiring medical treatment. As the result of investigation, warrants were obtained charging Zaid Mohammed Ismail, 26, of 1454 Parkvale Court, Herndon, with two counts of felonious assault. The suspect was subsequently located and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was ordered held on $2000 bond.
- Larceny from Vehicle: 4100 Block of University Drive – On September 16 at 12:44 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime between 9:00 PM and 12:00 Midnight on September 15 unknown person(s) had stolen a backpack containing a laptop computer and college textbooks from his parked vehicle.
- Larceny from Vehicle / Vehicle Tampering: 4000 and 4100 Blocks of Woodland Drive – On September 20 at 6:57 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 12:00 Noon on September 19 unknown person(s) had entered his unlocked parked vehicle, moved contents of the glove box around and broke the center console handle. At 10:54 AM a second vehicle owner reported that his vehicle parked on the driveway of his residence had been entered and tools and a flashlight stolen.
- Assault Arrest: 3800 Block of Lyndhurst Drive – On September 20 at 9:48 PM the victim, a 25 year old Fairfax woman, reported that she had been pushed and scratched during the course of an altercation with another female subject. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division, Mejia Iris Martinez, 22, of 4380 Whitmer Drive, Woodbridge, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with assault and her bond was set at $1000.
- Larceny from Vehicle: Mathy Drive / Pickett Road – On September 21 at 11:37 AM the vehicle operator reported that sometime after 5:00 PM on September 18 unknown person(s) had stolen both license plates from her parked company vehicle.
- Attempted Fraud: 11214 Lee Highway / The Paschal Lamb – On September 21 at 2:37 PM an employee reported she had received a telephone call from a subject claiming to represent the power company and advising her to purchase a money card to cover a past due bill or the power would be shut off. The employee contacted the power company which advised that no payment was due.
