Woodson Takes on Stone Bridge Tonight

Despite a 5-0 loss to top-seeded West Springfield, the Woodson boys team (4-9-2), will advance to the regional tournament. 

Sean Powell led the Cavaliers with six goals on the year. Still, he could do little against a Spartan team that has won 12 of their last 13 games and is considered the favorite to win the region, and quite possibly the state.   

Though the Spartan nightmare is over, the road for the Cavs does not get much easier.

They face Stone Bridge in the first round of regionals. The Bulldogs have an intimidating reputation, having lost only once this season.

But all's not lost. Stone Bridge beat Woodson earlier this year, but only by one goal. All the Cavs need to do is turn that 1-0 loss into a close call victory.
