Congregation Adat Reyim Matzah Ball Cook-Off Contest

On Sunday March 17th, Congregation Adat Reyim in Springfield, VA held their first Matzah Ball Cook-Off Contest. 

What a wonderful way to prepare for  Passover! 

Four contestants (David Berkowitz, Michael Halle, Sue Kalmon and Bruce Kaplan) each began their preparation at 8:30am and were given two hours to finish.  Each recipe was unique. 

More than thirty judges tasted and then voted for their favorite matzah ball. 

After two recounts, Laurie Rosen audited the results and confirmed that there was a tie. 

Congratulations to Sue Kalmon and David Berkowitz, this year's winners.
