Join Assistance League® of Northern Virginia on a virtual trip to Rome November 6 and you may come away with an actual trip to Italy! This year’s fundraiser features a delicious 3-course dinner complete with opera singers, a 50/50 raffle, a wine pull, and a live auction which includes a trip to Italy.
Springfield Golf and Country Club has partnered with ALNV to host this year’s event. Tickets are $115 per person and include the three-course meal. Participation in the raffle, wine pull, and live auction are additional. Proceeds will fund ALNV’s work supporting underprivileged children in local partner Title 1 elementary schools. Throughout the year, ALNV provides weekend food for children facing food insecurity without school-provided meals, as well as new seasonal-appropriate clothing, socks, underwear, and coats. ALNV also provides books for all children in partner schools regardless of need, along with reading tutoring in several of the partner schools.
Assistance League® of Northern Virginia is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to feed, clothe, educate, and support local children from low-income families. ALNV receives no federal, state, or local funding, relying on fundraising, donations, grants, and partner support to help children’s basic needs.
