As ABC 7 and TBD.com reported, the Clifton Elementary School lawsuit hearing scheduled for Friday has been delayed until Nov. 22.
"A judge has delayed a motions hearing in a lawsuit over Fairfax County Public Schools' plan to close Clifton Elementary School," TBD's Mike Conneen reported. "The motion was to dismiss the lawsuit. Parents opposed to the school board's plan to close Clifton have filed a lawsuit challenging the decision. The plaintiffs claim the school board exceeded its authority and violated Virginia law."

"In July, the board voted 9-2 to close the school. Board members cited high renovation costs, decreasing enrollment projections, safety concerns, and poor water quality in their decision. Parents say those issues are exaggerated or soluble."
