Gallery: Filmmakers in the Spotlight at Clifton Film Fest
The festival took place this weekend.
They laughed, clapped and hooted at the fourth annual on Saturday at Lorton's Workhouse Arts Center.
"The films this year are great, and are better than previous years because technology has gotten so much better," said festival creator Dani Weinberg to Patch. "A lot of people are filming these days with DSLR's, and some of the younger filmmakers shoot with flip cams or their iPhones. The adult films usually use better cameras."
Dozens of films were watched from under a large tent, which kept movie fans from getting rained on. The festival features films created by both teenagers and experienced filmmakers alike.
