Longtime Clifton Elementary School Assistant Set to Retire
Marietta Julienne has worked for the school system over 30 years
After 31 years of service to the Fairfax County Public Schools System, Clifton Elementary School’s office and library assistant Marietta Julienne is set to retire at the end of the year.
“Working at Clifton has been a joy,” Julienne said. “It’s just been wonderful.”
Julienne has worked for Clifton Elementary for the last 17 years. She works most of the time in the library, shelving books and helping students. She also assists in the clinic and office.

“She’s a Jill of all trades,” said school Principal Renee Miller. “She is a very hard worker and always happy and willing to do what we need.”
Staffers had an official farewell party for Julienne about two weeks ago. She said that in her retirement, she will travel more and spend time with her granddaughter.

“Clifton has been a very nice place to work, and the school is like a family,” Julienne said. “It’s small so you get to know people better.”
