Overdose Death: Man Arrested in Centreville Incident

Fairfax County Police already had arrested another man, who pleaded guilty Monday in the drug-related death of Alexia Springer.

CENTREVILLE, VA — A second man was arrested Tuesday in the drug-related March death of 17-year-old Alexia Springer that already resulted in one man pleading guilty, according to Fairfax County Police.

Daniel Armando Urrego, 19, of Manassas, was charged with manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance or an imitation controlled substance.

David Evers, 18, of Centreville was arrested in May and pleaded guilty Monday. He faces five-to-40 years in prison at his Dec. 2 sentencing.

Police say on March 1, around 10:45 a.m., patrol officers from the Sully District Station were called to a residence in the 13800 block of Coleman Court for a report of an unresponsive 17-year-old female.

Paramedics with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department pronounced the young woman dead and she was later identified as Springer, of Centreville.

On April 15, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was acute combined morphine, alprazolam, oxycodone, and ethanol poisoning, and the death was deemed accidental.
