Police: Would-Be Burglar Enters Home Through Pet Door

Burglary

A resident reported that someone forced their way into their Fairfax Station home, but nothing was stolen, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The incident was reported at 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday on the 7100 block of Woodglen Court. The person forced their way in through a pet door, police reported.

Unauthorized Use

A 37-year-old Chantilly man was charged with speed to elude, driving on revoked operator’s license, and resisting arrest.

Police were called at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 13900 block of Rockland Village Drive in Chantilly for a report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Police spotted the vehicle in a parking lot, and the car sped away.

Police caught up to driver. Arman Dueno was charged in the incident.

West Springfield District Station

Burglary

A Springfield resident reported that someone entered their home through an unlocked window and stole jewelry, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

The burglary took place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 5500 block of Moultrie Road, according to police.

Burglary

A resident reported that several items were stolen from their home, including a safe. Police said that the burglary took place at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday on the 5300 block of Inverchapel Road. The burglar had forced their way into the home through a window.
