Ram field hockey, football and volleyball from September 28 to October 4

Robinson Field Hockey (3-10):
Robinson dropped two road contests this week. Westfield (11-2) defeated the Rams 8-0 on Friday, Sept. 30 and Oakton (9-1) grabbed a 4-1 victory on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Robinson’s Lauren Stapleton scored the team’s lone goal and goalkeeper Ally Robins had 11 saves.
With just three games remaining on the schedule this season, the Rams will try to grab wins against Herndon (7-6) on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Centreville (0-9) on Thursday, Oct. 13. The team’s season finale is on Friday, Oct. 14 at Lake Braddock (10-3).

JV Field Hockey (2-7-1):
JV field hockey is on a seven-game losing streak. In two road games last week, the Rams lost 0-1 to Westfield and 0-2 to Oakton.The team has two games left on their schedule and will look to end their season on a positive note with wins over Herndon on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Centreville on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Robinson Football (1-4):
The Rams suffered a tough 13-10 overtime defeat to South County (2-3) on Friday, Sept. 30. The offense lost two fumbles in the contest. Ben Gomez kicked a 27-yard first quarter field goal and Patrick Baker scored on a 13-yard third quarter touchdown run. Running back Tyrek Worrell rushed for 84 yards on 16 carries and Joe Meir rushed for 77 yards on 16 carries.
Robinson travels to second-ranked Centreville (5-0) on Thursday, Oct. 6.
JV Football (3-1-1):
Robinson’s JV squad rebounded from their Westfield loss and defeated South County 20-6 on Saturday, Oct. 1. Five games remain on the team’s schedule as they approach the midpoint of their season.
The Rams host Centreville on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Freshman Football (0-3):
The Ram freshman team was defeated 33-7 by South County on Saturday, Oct. 1. The team hosts Centreville on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Robinson Volleyball (8-8):
After defeating Flint Hill 3-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Rams dropped matches against Lake Braddock and South County. Lake Braddock (17-1) narrowly escaped Robinson 3-2, after tight 24-26, 25-23, 23-19, 22-25 and 15-9 games.
Robinson hosts Westfield (8-6) on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and travels to McLean (6-3) on Tuesday, Oct. 11
JV Volleyball (2-6):
JV Volleyball went 1-1 last week. The Rams defeated Lake Braddock 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 1 and lost to South County 1-2 on Monday, Oct. 3. Westfield travels to Robinson on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and Robinson travels to McLean on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Freshman Volleyball (3-5):
The Rams defeated South County 2-0 on Monday, Oct. 3 and host Westfield on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
