DynCorp Leaving Falls Church...But Not for Texas
Company is staying in Virginia but moving from Falls Church. New location in McLean will consolidate several offices into one unified headquarters.

Last week, a Ft. Worth newspaper reported that DynCorp was being wooed by the city to move its headquarters from Falls Church to Texas.
The company headquarters at 3190 Fairview Park, is in an area of Fairfax County with a Falls Church mailing address.
Monday, DynCorp International company spokeswoman Ashley Burke cleared up the Texas rumors, telling Patch: "By the end of the year we will be moving into one, centrally located headquarters building in Tysons Corner (1700 Old Meadow Road, McLean) capable of housing all of our D.C. metro-area personnel, at a significant cost savings."
Here is the thinking by DynCorp:
"We’ve been looking at how we can operate more efficiently and effectively while reducing our costs," Burke explained. "And part of that process included an examination of our facilities."

The company explored a few ideas:
- Changing its footprint in Northern Virginia
- Moving their headquarters to Texas, where the majority of the company's corporate personnel are located
- Moving its headquarters to Alabama, where their aviation business operates
- and moving the entire company to North Carolina to establish a new, unified corporate location
"After looking at the potential financial, customer and employee impacts of each option, we decided the best option was to create one, visible headquarters presence in Virginia," Burke said.
