Mad Fox Brewing Prepares for 'Hoppy' Oktoberfest in Falls Church

Northern Virginia’s award-winning brewpub, Mad Fox Brewing Company, located at 444 W. Broad St. in Falls Church will celebrate its India Pale Ale (IPA)-inspired Hoppy Oktoberfest by showcasing nearly 60 beers from 25 of the region’s top breweries, with an all-day outdoor beer festival from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. Admission is free; the event will be held on the Market Square and feature live music, a festival menu with grilled items, a moon bounce and cornhole and KamJam activities, according to a news release.

Craft beer aficionados will have an opportunity to vote for “Fan Favorite Beer,” a contest with prizes presented by On Tap Magazine, Reston Limousine and Mad Fox. A commemorative Mad Fox tasting glass and six tickets costs $20 with beer tastings available in four-ounce pours. Additional tickets are $2 each.

Mad Fox will unveil its 2014 Hitzig Frau Oktoberfest Lagerbier, and will also serve such favorites as Orange Whip IPA, Dingo IPA, The Maneuver IPA, Broad Street IPA and Cask Defender APA. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy an impressive selection of IPAs, seasonal brews and Oktoberfest beers from these regional breweries (subject to change):
