Man Killed By Metro Train in Falls Church

Delays impacting Orange, Silver and Blue line trains.

A man was struck and killed by a Metro train outside of the West Falls Church station, according to Metro Transit Police.

The man entered track bed and was struck at 5:36 a.m. Transit police believe it was an apparent suicide.

Crews were completing work at the scene near 8 a.m.

Metro says that about 200 passengers on the train had to be evacuated, according to WTOP.

The passengers were assisted in walking back to the station, according to NBC Washington.
