UPDATE: 'All Clear' After Bomb Threat at George Mason High School: City
Virginia State Police K9, Metro Transit K9, Arlington County Fire + Bomb Units, City of Falls Church Sheriff's Office assisted City Police.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- UPDATE 2:48 p.m.: City of Falls Church Police has given the "all clear" at George Mason High School after a bomb threat was called in earlier Friday morning.
The evacuation and sweep were conducted out of an abundance of caution, the City said. Units assisting Falls Church Police were Virginia State Police K9, Metro Transit K9, Arlington County Fire and Bomb Units, and the City of Falls Church Sheriff's Office.
The City of Falls Church Police said they thank the community, students, teachers and staff for their patience through the evacuation and sweep.
At 11:39 a.m. George Mason High School (GMHS) students and staff were evacuated to Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School after they received an automated bomb threat by phone, similar to those received by other school divisions around Virginia.

In all, seven area schools were evacuated due to bomb threats Friday: George Mason High School in Falls Church, Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Potomac School in McLean, McLean High School, Herndon High School, Westfield High School in Chantilly and Stone Bridge in Loudoun County.
