Shooting Early Monday Injures 3 in Falls Church, Suspect at Large: Police

Police say the shooting suspect is a slender man, about 5'8" tall; three people were injured in early Monday shooting.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- City of Falls Church Police say at least three victims were injured early Monday after a shooting incident at N. Washington Street and Park Place in the City of Falls Church.

NBC-4 reports that a fight started at the State Theatre and spilled out onto the street.

The suspect in the shooting is at large, police said.

One of the injured was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury; two other victims either drove themselves or were driven to a hospital in Frederick, Md., police said.

The incident occurred on Park Place at North Washington Street and a parking lot behind businesses, police said.

Police say that at about 1:50 a.m. on Monday, three men were shot near the intersection of N. Washington Street (Rt. 29) and Park Place. One victim went into a local business for help and was later transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening wound to the shoulder, according to police. Two other victims either drove themselves or were driven to a hospital in Frederick, Md.


The suspect fled the scene and is described as a slender man about 5’8” police said. There is no further information on the suspect’s description at this time. There are also no photographs or surveillance video to release at this time, police said. Updates will be released when they become available.
