Unidentified Dog May Have Rabies, Say Police

The victim was bitten Saturday when he became entangled in the dog's leash, say Falls Church police.

The City of Falls Church Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a dog that bit a city resident on Saturday morning. The dog needs to be tested for rabies, according to the department’s Animal Control Division.

The young male victim may have to undergo rabies inoculations if the dog is not located, the police said.

The biting incident occurred on the second floor of Northgate At Falls Church, an apartment complex at 450 N. Washington St. (see map below). The victim sustained an injury to his knee when he became entangled in the dog’s leash, the police said.
