Victim Struck by 'Metal Pellet' on Baseball Field

Fairfax County Police say that someone was wounded after being struck by a “metal pellet” Saturday on a ball field in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County.

The incident took place in the 7700 block of Leesburg Pike, Saturday, according to police; police were called at about 3:39 p.m. The location appears to be George Marshall High School, which is at 7731 Leesburg Pike.

The victim was playing in a school baseball field and was struck in the upper body with what appears to be a metal pellet, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
