Woman Charged with Setting Fire in Falls Church Area Apartment

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department fire investigators charged a woman for setting a fire in a Falls Church garden apartment Tuesday.

Susan Bertram, 49, of 6037 Bellview Drive, Falls Church, was charged with starting a fire in an occupied building, Virginia Code 18.2-77.

Bertram was charged with setting a fire in a bedroom in a second floor apartment at 6037 Bellview Drive, Monday. There were no injuries. Damage is estimated at $300.

Bertram is being held on bond in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
