FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say that an area resident surprised a would-be burglar Wednesday morning.

Police say the suspect tried to enter the apartment through a sliding glass door Wednesday morning at about 10:58 a.m. in the 2800 block of Hollywood Road (see map below). The man was unable enter the apartment and left immediately when he saw someone in the home, police said.
