Crime at Churches Continue in Fredericksburg Area: Police

Fredericksburg Police say a window was shattered at Prince George's Church as the count grows to three in two weeks.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — For the third time in two weeks, yet another church in the Fredericksburg area has been tread upon by folks who apparently have no qualms about potentially meeting their maker.

And this time it's a piling-on affair for one church.

Fredericksburg Police say they received a call about noon Monday from the business manager at St. George's Church at 905 Princess Anne Street — robbed Sept. 9 — who said an unknown person not only had broken off a door handle to the church but also shattered out a pane of glass.

And on Sept. 11, the Ferry Farm Baptist Church in Stafford was ransacked and actually had a bible torn apart and tossed to the floor.

Jesus wept.
