Lady Eagles Stay Unbeaten Against St. Mary's

Three players scored double figures in the Mary Washington Lady Eagles 66-48 victory at home this afternoon against St. Mary's.

Jenna McRare and Katie Wimmer both scored 13 points and Aubrey Howland dropped 10 in the victory, keeping the women's team undefeated at 19-0 and 10-0 in league play.

Strong shooting was the key to the victory, as UMW shot almost 50 percent from the field to St. Mary's woeful 27 percent. If it wasn't for St. Mary's strong three-point shooting ( 45 percent), the score would have been much worse.

St. Mary's also turned the ball over 20 times during the game, to UMW's 15 turnovers. Ravens Owens led all scorers with 19 points for St. Mary's (8-11, 6-4 in league play)

Next up for the Lady Eagles will be Salisbury University at home on Feb. 4.
