Shots Fired on Dixon Street

Investigators are trying to determine who fired multiple shots overnight in the Dixon Street area.

Officers responded at 2 a.m. Friday to the 200 block of Dixon Street, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

A Spotsylvania resident told police that he and some friends were leaving a restaurant when they were approached by a group of unknown men acting aggressively.

They didn’t engage with the strangers, but a few minutes later reported hearing several shots fired.

Patrol officers canvassed the area and found multiple shell casings.

No persons were injured.
