Special Guests Confirmed For 'Our Community Salutes' Program

U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Fredericksburg) and Brig. Gen. Joseph L. Osterman, commanding general of Marine Corps Recruiting Command, are both confirmed guests for a recognition ceremony for Fredericksburg area high school graduates who will be entering the military.

The ceremony, "Our Community Salutes," starts at 7 p.m. June 4 at University of Mary Washington's George Washington Hall's Dodd Auditorium. This event has never been held in this area before, said UMW's Assistant Director of News and Public Information Brynn Boyer.

UMW President Richard V. Hurley also waived all of the rental fees for the event.
