UMW's High Graduation Rates Get Recognition

Kiplinger named University of Mary Washington a top-10 public college with the highest graduation rates.

has again been lauded as a quality institution, this time for its high graduation rates.

Kiplinger ranked the top-10 best public colleges with the highest graduation rates and UMW ranked No. 9.

All 10 schools on the list bested the national average for public colleges (29.9 percent) by 38 to 55 percentage points, according to Kiplinger.

Undergraduate enrollment: 4,354

Four-year graduation rate: 68 percent

Six-year graduation rate: 75 percent 

Total in-state cost: $18,706

Total out-of-state cost: $30,434

Average debt at graduation: $15,600
