Double Shooting Kills 20-Year Old, Injures 1 In Mount Vernon
Police have not arrested a suspect after two people were shot in a residential area.
MOUNT VERNON, VA — One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Mount Vernon early Monday.
Police responded to the 7900 block of Sausalito Place around 2:30 a.m. for a person who had been shot. Police found one person, identified as Kamren Quick, 18, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a safe area for treatment by medics before going to the hospital. His injuries are serious but non-life-threatening.
Officers found the other victim, Jayden Quick, 20, dead inside a home with an apparent gunshot wound.

Detectives believe the incident was not random. No arrests have been made, but detectives continue to interview witnesses and examine evidence.
