BELLE HAVEN, VA — A man who bought a Virginia Lottery ticket in the Richmond Highway corridor was shocked to learn it won a prize over $1 million.

Alexandria resident Leslie Williams won the $1,063,690 jackpot in the Cash 5 with EZ Match game by matching all five numbers. The winning numbers were 1-20-24-26-35.

His first reaction? A "quiet scream."

"Could this really be possible?" he told the Virginia Lottery about his first thoughts after winning the jackpot.

It was possible. He overcame the odds of 1 in 749,398 to win the jackpot. His winning ticket came from the 7-Eleven at 2800 Beacon Hill Road, Alexandria, VA.

Cash 5 features a rolling jackpot starting at $100,000. Players who spend an extra dollar for EZ Match receive five randomly-chosen numbers, with a prize up to $500 for each. If any number matches the numbers in the drawing, the player wins that prize.
