This was only the second time a prize has exceeded $1 million in the Cash 5 with EZ Match game. The other time was in January 2022, when a group of seven friends in Virginia Beach split a $1,008,842 jackpot.

The jackpot winner has 180 days from the June 18 drawing to claim the prize by contacting the Virginia Lottery. The Virginia Lottery advises the winner to sign the back of the ticket to show ownership.
