2 Alexandrians Killed In Springfield Car Crash: VSP
Police say the car was going too fast when it took an exit ramp, hitting a barrier and flipping over.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — An early morning car crash on I-495 in Springfield killed two Alexandrians, according to a press release from the Virginia State Police. Leon Johnson, 22, was driving with Alysha Battle, 20, in the passenger seat.
A VSP trooper was on a routine patrol when he saw the Nissan Sentra overturned around 12:15 a.m. Friday, the press release said. He investigated, finding that the Sentra was "traveling at a high rate of speed" westbound when it took the exit ramp to Eisenhower Avenue.
The car ran off the road, hit a Jersey barrier and overturned, police said.
