2021 Mount Vernon District Environment Expo Set For Saturday
Supervisor Dan Storck will host the free event with the National Park Service at Fort Hunt Park.
FORT HUNT, VA — Families can find free fun this weekend at the Mount Vernon District Environment Expo Saturday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to noon at Fort Hunt Park.
The free event is being held by Supervisor Dan Storck in partnership with the National Park Service. The Environmental Expo is designed to educated and inform local residents about daily environmental challenges, including those specific to the Mount Vernon area. Attendees can learn about actions they can take to address climate change and protect the environment.
Activities planned for the expo are exhibitors, workshops, live music from the Joe Chiocca Band, live reptile and owl programs, electric vehicles, nature walks, a junior ranger program, touch-a-truck recycling, history tours, purple glass recycling bin, and more. Food trucks were canceled and will not be there as previously planned.
