2021 Mount Vernon Town Meeting Scheduled For February
Residents are invited to participate virtually in Supervisor Dan Storck's town meeting.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — The annual Mount Vernon Town Meeting will return for a 34th year but in a virtual format. Supervisor Dan Storck will host the meeting on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Residents are invited to join and hear from Storck as well as other county, state and federal leaders. The meeting will include discussions on key issues, a chance to ask questions a virtual exhibit hall to connect with county agencies and community service providers. Another highlight of the meeting is a "virtual flying tour" of everything happening in the Mount Vernon District.
Speakers participating in the town meeting are Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey C. McKay, County Executive Bryan Hill, Mount Vernon District School Board Member Karen Corbett Sanders, Health Department Director Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, Fort Belvoir Garrison Commander Col. Joshua SeGraves and Reps. Gerry Connolly and Don Beyer.

Although the exhibit hall will be virtual, the event's popular goodie bags will be available. Bags will feature information typically found in the exhibit hall and a few giveaways. Bags can be picked up by the front door at the Mount Vernon Governmental Center at 2511 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, starting on Monday, Feb. 8. We are located in the Mount Vernon Governmental Center at 2511 Parkers Lane. Office hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All information included in the goodie bags will also be posted to www.fairfaxcounty.gov/mountvernon after the meeting.
Residents can watch the meeting on Cox Channel 1016 and Verizon/Comcast Channel 16, on the county's livestream of channel 16 online, or Facebook Live on Supervisor Stock's Facebook page. Video participation is available through Microsoft Teams.
