3-Year-Old In Fort Hunt Abduction Found Safe
After an Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 3-year-old, police have found the child.
UPDATE: Amelia Kraus has been found safe in West Virginia. Police have Catherine Kraus in custody with charges pending.
FORT HUNT, VA — Fairfax County Police are searching for a missing 3-year-old girl in a suspected abduction in Fort Hunt. An Amber Alert was issued by Virginia State Police.
Police responded to the home on Tauxemont Road in Fort Hunt around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday for the abduction report. Police believe Catherine Kraus, 35, entered the home and took Amelia Kraus, 3.

Detectives believe Kraus left the area in a white BMW 325I with Virginia tags EGLSWS or a black Volkswagen with Massachusetts tags WS5025.
Police have an image of Amelia Kraus taken Tuesday (above left) and Catherine Kraus (right). Amelia Kraus is described as 3 foot 2 and 34 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink Boston Red Sox shirt with pink and gray tights and white and pink Under Armour shoes.

Catherine Kraus is 5 foot 10 and 170 pounds with brown eyes. She is believed to be wearing a wig with a shaved head.
