On September 2, 2020, at 5:41 p.m., the Alexandria Police Department responded to a call regarding shots fired in the 1200 block of Madison Street. Officers found shell casings in the area, but did not locate anyone with injuries.
On September 3, detectives arrested a 27 year-old man for unlawful discharge of a firearm in connection with this incident. The case is under investigation, and additional police officers have been assigned to patrol the area.
