'Am I Dreaming?' Man Finds Lottery Luck In Mount Vernon
The lottery ticket bought in Mount Vernon won a top prize of $150,000, according to the Virginia Lottery.
A top lottery prize win was so shocking for Gilberto Romero Membrano, he didn't believe it at first. In fact, he showed it to a friend to confirm it was a winner.
The friend did confirm the Alexandria man did win a $150,000 top prize in the $15 Million Up For Grabs ticket from the Virginia lottery.
"I couldn’t sleep all weekend," Romera Membrano later told Virginia Lottery officials. “I kept thinking, 'Is this real? Am I dreaming?'"

The winning ticket came from E & C VA at 8156 Richmond Highway in Mount Vernon. Prizes in the $15 Million Up For Grabs game typically range from $5 up to the $150,000 top prize. Three top prizes have been claimed, and one remains unclaimed.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,224,000, while the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4.18.
