Attempted Robbery by Masked Gunman: Woman Was Walking to Her Car

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police say that a 53-year old woman was approached by a masked gunman early Wednesday while she was walking to her car.

Police say the incident happened early Wednesday just before 6 a.m. in the 3300 block of Swallow Court (see map below).

The woman was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. The victim told the suspect she had no money and he fled. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as black, around 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds, police said. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask.
