Attempted Robbery, Stabbing Reported On Holmes Run Trail: Police

A suspect is wanted for an attempted robbery and stabbing in Lincolnia.

LINCOLNIA, VA — Fairfax County Police are seeking a suspect for an attempted robbery and stabbing on the Holmes Run Trail in Lincolnia on July 7.

The attempted robbery and assault happened around 12:50 p.m. The suspect approached the victim, patted him down and demanded money. When the victim said he didn't have cash, the suspect walked away.

The suspect soon returned and assaulted the victim, stabbing him in the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 25 to 35 years old, 5 foot 4, 125 to 150 pounds, and with brown eyes, short black hair and a mustache. The suspect was wearing dark clothing and two jackets. A sketch has been provided by police.
