Black Friday Tips

The local AT&T team has prepared these helpful tips to minimize stress and maximize the holiday shopping experience.

Prep your smartphone: Make sure your phone is fully charged the night before. If you’re planning an extra-long day of shopping, bring a back-up charger or battery charger case. Adjust your battery settings appropriately to avoid unnecessary drain.

Make a list and strategize: Make a list of every item you’re looking to buy on Black Friday. Check retailers’ websites in advance to compare prices, and bring ads with you to the stores. Websites that have already starting posting Black Friday ads include blackfriday.com and dealnews.com.

Make the most of apps: There’s literally an app for everything. You can use the “Black Friday App” to create your shopping list using the ads you find on the app, see new ads right when they come out, compare prices and share deals with friends and family via social media.

Speed up checkout: Many retailers are using mobile applications by Four Square, Pay Pal and banks to check out at the store using their cell phones, saving time stuck in lines.

Have a safe holiday and happy shopping!
