Boat Fire Being Investigated At Mount Vernon Yacht Club

The cause of a boat fire in the Mount Vernon Yacht Club area is under investigation, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — A boat fire in Mount Vernon injured three people Thursday night, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

Units responded to the 4800 block of Tarpon Lane, which other media outlets have reported is the location of the Mount Vernon Yacht Club. Firefighters encountered an unoccupied boat with fire showing.

Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
