Body At North Hill Park Identified, Investigated As Homicide
Police say the body found in the woods was identified as a juvenile.
HYBLA VALLEY, VA—A body located in a wooded Hybla Valley area has been identified. Fairfax County Police are investigating the death as a homicide.
The medical examiner identified the victim as a juvenile with homicide as the cause of death. Police cannot release the juvenile victim's name without parental consent. There were no details available on the manner of death.
The body was found the morning of May 23 in an undeveloped wooded area of North Hill. Police believe the death could be tied to gang activity. Detectives received information that a body was in the woods a few days prior. Police encountered a freshly-dug grave, and it took over a day to locate the body buried below the ground.
