Bonchon Brings Korean Fried Chicken To Groveton Area

GROVETON, VA — Bonchon, a franchise specializing in Korean fried chicken, is now open in Groveton. The location at 6852 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, held a grand opening on Jan. 10.

Bonchon is a franchise with locations in the U.S. and several Asian countries. The restaurant fries its chicken twice and hand-glazes it in one of its sauces. Guests can choose from wings, boneless wings, drumsticks, strips or a combo with sauce choices of spicy, soy garlic, sweet crunch, and half and half. These can be accompanied by sides like seasoned fries, kimchi, edamame and steamed rice. If you're not getting the wings, the menu includes Asian fusion specialties, tacos, wraps and buns.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit bonchon.com.
