Capital Beltway Bridge Repairs Begin In Springfield: VDOT

Construction affects two Capital Beltway bridges in Springfield and is expected to be completed in summer 2018.

SPRINGFIELD, VA -- Repairs on two Capital Beltway bridges on ramps to Interstate 395 have begun, the Virginia Department of Transportation said Friday. The work is scheduled to finish in summer 2018.

The bridge being repaired are on the ramp from the Capital Beltway Outer Loop to northbound 395 and Inner Loop to northbound 395. The bridges were built in 1959 and 1975, respectively.

During construction, at least one lane will remain open on the ramps. VDOT asks drivers to use caution when driving through the construction area.
