Chamber Breakfast to Feature MGM Casino

Have you been keeping an eye on the large cranes across the Potomac River? That’s where the $1.2 billion MGM Casino National Harbor is going up.

Set to open in Fall 2016, MGM National Harbor will be a 308-room resort located on the eastern shore of the Potomac River in Prince George’s County, Md. The 23-story resort will feature premier amenities and experiences including a casino, a world-class spa and salon, a 3,000-seat entertainment theater, high-end branded retail, meeting space and and restaurants from renowned local and national chefs.

The Mount Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce August Business Breakfast will feature a presentation on MGM Casino National Harbor. Brian Banks, director of Government Affairs for MGM National Harbor, will give a detailed update on construction, contracting opportunities and expectations for the casino.

The August Second Thursday Business Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at Belle Haven Country Club, 6023 Fort Hunt Road, Alexandria, VA 22306.
