Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Alexandria Donates 150 Pairs of Shoes to Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Program

In honor of Earth Day, Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Alexandria held a shoe drive in support of Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program, which recycles shoes that would have otherwise gone to landfills into sport courts, playground surfaces and more. Throughout April, students worked together to collect 150 pairs of used shoes for the program. Students practiced counting as they boxed the shoes to be shipped to Nike’s facility in Tennessee. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and taking care of the environment.
