Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool Students Donate Handmade Blankets

Students handmade blankets and held a donation drive to support community members in need this winter

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Alexandria recently donated handmade blankets to local community members facing homelessness. For the past two weeks, students worked together in their classrooms to create blankets to keep those in need warm this winter. In addition to making blankets, students also collected clothes and shoes for their local homeless shelter and organized the donations for delivery to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community.
