Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate Toys to Children in Need

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Alexandria recently delivered four large boxes of toys for Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Throughout December, students held a school-wide drive to collect a variety of gifts for children of all ages. At the close of the drive, students delivered the toys to a local realtor’s office, which was a Toys for Tots drop-off site. Through this initiative, students learned the importance giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
