Child Abduction In Car Leads To Charges For Alexandria Woman
A vehicle stolen with a child inside in Lincolnia has led to the arrest of an Alexandria woman, according to Fairfax County Police.

LINCOLNIA, VA — An Alexandria woman is facing charges in relation to a stolen vehicle with a child inside in Lincolnia Sunday, according to Fairfax County Police.
The incident happened around 6:50 p.m. in a parking lot in the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, which is just outside Alexandria city limits. According to police, the 2012 Honda was stolen with a 6-year-old girl in the backseat while the girl's stepfather was picking up food at a restaurant.
The girl was found alone around 7:18 p.m. at 13th Street and E Street NW in Washington, DC. She was reunited with the family, but the stolen vehicle remained missing.

On Wednesday, the victim whose car was stolen approached police. The victim had tracked a phone left in the vehicle and notified police that the vehicle was in the 80 block of S. Bragg Street in Alexandria.
Fairfax County and Alexandria Police located the vehicle and saw a woman exiting. The woman, Tanisha Hall, 40, of Alexandria, was taken into police custody. During the investigation, police say they found evidence linking Hall to the alleged abduction of the child.

Hall was charged with abduction, two counts of grand larceny, credit card theft, false identification to law enforcement and obstruction of justice. She was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond.
